Hello TBMFA Nation.
We just finished our 55th season. There have been a lot of great games played, with some spectacular plays. A big congrats to all the players and coaches on another amazing season!

Calling All Football Coaches!

TBMFA is looking for dynamic, experienced head coaches to serve as volunteer Head Coaches for our Youth Summer Knights teams:

  1.  Grade 4
  2.  Grade 5
  3.  Grade 6
  4.  Grade 7

Our teams will be competing at the Minnesota Youth Football Showdown (August 21-23 at the National Sports Centre in Blaine, MN).

The successful candidate will have:

  • the ability to effectively motivate, instruct and lead players;
  • strong organizational skills to efficiently run practices and other team development activities;
  • exemplary ability to communicate effectively with players, parents, coaching staff and members of the TBMFA Executive;
  • Speak Out or Respect in Sport Certification;
  • Police Records Check
  • Valid Passport for entry into the United States.

This year we will be selecting the coaches prior to player registration. 

Applications are available on the website in the Coaches/Managers Tab under Coaches/Coaches Documents.  With the completed application form, please also include 3 coaching assistant names that you have selected to form your coaching staff.

Deadline for Head Coaching Applicants is JANUARY 31st.  The executive will review these applications during the February Executive meeting and the Head Coach position will be posted on the website.  A confirmation email will be sent to that individual shortly after.  TBMFA executive reserves all final rights to make appointments of Head Coaching positions.

Exciting U18 News!

After a breif hiatis, U18 Football is back in Thunder Bay! Under the direction of Head Coach Rolf Waffler, players will have an opportunity to be selected to play in the 2015 Football Canada Cup National Championship Tournament. Currently tryout dates are being finalized. Please check out our U18 page under the Knights tab for more information.
