GREAT! You want to be a coach…..here is what you need to know:
TBMFA is a volunteer organization and relies on volunteers to help provide a fun first, quality football program for the youth of Thunder Bay. We are always looking for volunteers to be coaches in all of our divisions, whether it be a head coach or an assistant coach.
If you love the game of football and want to help out, played in TBMFA as a youngster or played in high school and just want to give back to the game, we encourage you to consider becoming a TBMFA coach.
The requirements for becoming coach are simple:
1. Complete the Respect in Sport on line course.
2. Complete the Making Headway on-line course.
**Please note you will need to create an account to acquire an NCCP#
3. Apply for a Criminal Records Search with the City of Thunder Bay. You will be reimbursed for this charge!
Bring the attached TBMFA’s request form down to the police station. Bring the form completed (date, name address etc.)
4. Submit your application form.
As the request for a Records Search can take up to 16 weeks, an initial copy of your receipt will suffice until it arrives.
Still not sure? Here is a helpful manual that should get you started….
